The Times Higher Education (THE) published its “World University Rankings 2025” today (the 9th), with National Taiwan University ranked 172nd, making it the best university in Taiwan. Following is China Medical University, ranked in the 301 to 350 range, while Taiwan Tech maintains its position in the 401 to 500 range, ranking first among Taiwan's technical and vocational institutions. It is tied for third place nationally with Asia University, National Tsinghua University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, and Taipei Medical University.
In terms of scoring details, Taiwan Tech has improved in four indicators: Industry, Research Quality, Research Environment, and Teaching. It also performed well in the International Outlook category, ranking second nationally, ranking second in the country, just behind National Taiwan University.
This is the 21st time that the Times Higher Education Special Edition has released the world university rankings. This year, a total of 2,092 universities and colleges from 115 countries and regions are included in the rankings.
