Taiwan Tech teams up with Chunghwa Post for cutting-edge AI Training.

In response to the demands of the digital age and the need for postal AI transformation, Taiwan Tech's College of Management has partnered with Chunghwa Post to launch the “Postal AI Talent Training Program”. Today (30th), the program's opening event was held at Taiwan Tech's International Building, marking a significant step toward AI transformation. The course features 15 faculty members from Taiwan Tech, aimed at cultivating 90 forward-thinking leaders with AI application skills for Chunghwa Post, enhancing the intelligence and efficiency of postal services and boosting competitive advantage.

Taiwan Tech President Jia-Yush Yen stated that this collaboration represents a new integration of AI technology and postal services. The program will cover both foundational AI theories and practical applications, helping Chunghwa Post identify innovative uses of AI. Whether in logistics management, data analysis, or customer service, AI can enhance efficiency and improve decision-making quality.

Chunghwa Post emphasized that this training is not just a learning opportunity but an important milestone for promoting AI applications. Combining theoretical and practical course content will effectively enhance the AI literacy of leadership, stimulate the core driving force for organizational transformation, and further strengthen capabilities to provide the public with smarter and more convenient postal services.

Dean Yu-Chung Tsao of Taiwan Tech's College of Management further stated that the establishment of the “Postal AI Talent Training Program” will promote the application of AI technology in traditional industries. He emphasized that the program will focus on practical implementation, enabling participants to apply what they learn in class to solve real business problems, thereby enhancing the quality of postal services and operational efficiency.

The opening event for the “Postal AI Talent Training Program” featured a special keynote speech by Professor Tzong-Chen Wu, a distinguished faculty member of Taiwan Tech's Department of Information Management and Chairman of the Telecommunications Technology Center. He spoke on “Information Security Strategies in Business Transformation”. In the afternoon, the “Executive Leadership Program” began, led by Dean Yu-Chung Tsao of Taiwan Tech's College of Management, who discussed industry applications and shared cases on smart operational resilience.

The “Postal AI Talent Training Program” consists of two parts: the “Executive Leadership Program” and the “Mid-Level Leadership Program” spanning 16 weeks from October 30, 2024, to March 6, 2025. The curriculum covers foundational AI concepts, AI regulations and ethics, technical implementation, and industry applications, totaling 96 hours of instruction.

This program represents an innovative collaboration between Chunghwa Post and academia, focusing on the application of AI technology in postal services. By incorporating practical postal scenarios, participants will not only grasp the latest AI technologies but also learn how to apply these technologies to enhance automation, intelligence, and efficiency in postal operations.
