In the "2024 World University Rankings" released by the Times Higher Education (THE), Taiwan Tech ranks first in Taiwan in the "International Outlook" category. Taiwan Tech has been committed to creating an international campus environment for many years, attracting more international students through alumni word-of-mouth marketing, thus forming a positive cycle.
Taiwan Tech recognized the impact of declining birth rates on enrollment twenty years ago. With Indonesia as its primary target, it began offering scholarships to recruit outstanding foreign students, gaining the "advantage of the pioneers" and laying the foundation for an internationalized campus. The number of foreign students has been increasing year by year, and Taiwan Tech has actively created a friendly environment, such as offering courses entirely in English, providing halal restaurants, Muslim prayer rooms, and other supporting facilities to enable international students to study more comfortably.
President Jia-Yush Yen stated that local students also actively communicate with foreign students in English, not only enhancing their language skills but also increasing their competitiveness in the job market. In recent years, Taiwan's technology industry has gained increasing international influence, attracting many international students to stay in Taiwan for employment and recruiting more outstanding talents for Taiwan's industries. President Jia-Yush Yen pointed out that Taiwan Tech will be more proactive in managing relationships with sister schools in other countries in the future, creating a high-quality learning environment that can attract more international students.
