On the 27th, 1111 Human Resources Bank released the "2024 Survey of Enterprises' Favorite Universities," with Taiwan Tech maintaining its position as the top-ranked public technological university for the fourth consecutive year. Taiwan Tech ranks only behind National Cheng Kung University, National Taiwan University, and Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in the overall rankings, securing the fourth position nationwide and standing as the only technological university within the top ten. Its outstanding achievements are widely recognized and highly praised by businesses.
According to 1111 Human Resources Bank, Taiwan continues to hold the top spot in the "public technological university" category this year. Its students have outstanding performance in the field of international design innovation. Students from the department of design won the Red Dot Design Concept Award for works such as " Virtual Reality Changing Joystick," "RTV - Rapid Medical Command Vehicle," and "Modular Desk," showcasing strong innovation capabilities. In the "2024 World University Rankings" published by The Times Higher Education special issue in the UK, Taiwan Tech also ranks first nationwide in the international outlook category, demonstrating its top-tier leadership.
The survey indicates that the top three qualities that companies value when hiring new graduates are: "problem-solving ability (65%)", "teamwork skills (58.8%)”, and "communication skills (42.5%)". In response to industry and international talent demands, Taiwan Tech deepens its connections with enterprises and the international community, encouraging students to propose innovative solutions to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Strategies include expanding industry-academia collaborations, offering corporate internships, facilitating student exchanges, organizing overseas study programs, and implementing professional courses conducted entirely in English (EMI), all aimed at enhancing students' competitiveness and employability through rich teaching resources.
In recent years, as businesses increasingly seek talent, Taiwan Tech actively promotes off-campus internships to cultivate students' ability to apply their knowledge. Corporations such as MediaTek, HIWIN, United Microelectronics Corporation, and Acer provide internship opportunities. During the internship period, they begin to recruit future employees and create a win-win situation for industry and academia. Regarding English proficiency, Taiwan Tech enhances students' foreign language skills through English-medium courses, overseas exchange programs, and the internationalization of the campus, fostering the internationalization of technical and vocational talents and nurturing high-level technical talents demanded by industries.
