To expand the two-way training and business exchange program between Taiwan and Thailand, Taiwan Tech (NTUST)'s Innovation and Incubation Center led a delegation from October 15th to 20th. The delegation comprised representatives from two high-quality resident companies, namely FreEntity Co., Ltd., and Orion go Co., Ltd. During the visit to Thailand, they not only signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for cooperation with Chiang Mai University Science and Technology Park but also aimed to open up the Thai market for Taiwanese startups and provide a stable cooperation channel. Additionally, they collaborated with the Northern Science Park (NSP) and Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University (STeP) to organize the NTUST-STeP Pitch Day. The delegation also visited the Northern Science Park, Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University, the Chamber of Commerce in Chiang Mai, and the Lower Northeastern Science Park (LNESP), engaging in in-depth discussions with local businesses to showcase the strength of Taiwan's startup ecosystem.

As the second-largest economy among ASEAN nations, Thailand's government has been actively fostering the entrepreneurial ecosystem, dedicating substantial resources to support the development of the country's startup industry. Chiang Mai University is among the key institutions focused on nurturing industries and youth entrepreneurship in Thailand. Its Science and Technology Park serves as the headquarters for the Northern Science Park in Thailand. Taiwan Tech has been at the forefront of connecting with Southeast Asian nations and actively promoting entrepreneurial teams to practice in New Southbound countries. The university has been engaged in bilateral youth entrepreneurship training and business expansion projects. Therefore, An-Rui Li, the Director of the Business Incubation Center at Taiwan Tech, led two campus startups, FreEntity Co., Ltd., and Orion go Co., Ltd, both possessing international market development ambitions and potential, to Thailand for business matchmaking and to provide indoor and outdoor integrated positioning solutions and 3D printing one-stop production services respectively.
In addition to leading the startup teams for overseas business expansion, Taiwan Tech (NTUST) and Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University also signed an MOU. They collaborated to organize the NTUST-STeP Pitch Day at the Northern Science Park (NSP) and Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University. The event featured the participation of the Japanese startup incubation company BORNREX, providing valuable advice and feedback to the on-site businesses and teams. The collaboration successfully facilitated further negotiations between the paired enterprises, expanding overseas markets and showcasing the limitless potential of Taiwan's industries.
Taiwan Tech (NTUST) organized the NTUST-STeP Pitch Day in collaboration with two enterprises, FreEntity Co., Ltd., and Orion go Co., Ltd. Orion go Co., Ltd, specializing in labor dispatch services, is set to initiate early-stage business cooperation by providing immediate dispatch services to VIP clients in hospitals. FreEntity Co., Ltd., is exploring future technological collaboration possibilities with the Thai 3D food printing team, Food Prompt. Subsequently, efforts will be made to establish connections and collaborations with business unions.
Furthermore, the Taiwan Tech team visited the Chamber of Commerce in Chiang Mai to explore new directions in the industry. President Julanit Wangviwat highlighted Chiang Mai's current focus on developing a smart city, aligning with the positioning services and development trends of Hunter Technology. There is a potential opportunity for further collaboration and negotiations in the future. NTUST also engaged in matchmaking discussions with five companies at the Lower Northeast Science Park (LNESP), sharing Taiwan's entrepreneurial experiences. Upon returning to Taiwan, they extended an invitation to LNESP's team promoting smart check-in/out services for accommodations to meet with the NTUST GTEP team, further discussing potential collaboration models.
Taiwan Tech looks forward to leveraging this matchmaking event to assist businesses in accessing local market channels and opportunities, and expanding into international markets. By harnessing Taiwan's robust industry strengths, both in terms of hardware and software, the aim is to generate higher added value through innovation and capitalize on market advantages. This endeavors to deepen the possibilities for future collaboration between Taiwan and Thailand.
