The Taiwan Tech EDBA/EMBA Alumni Association upholds its excellent tradition for 15 years and will host the "Taiwan Tech Warmth, Infinite Love" charity concert on December 9th at 2:30 PM in the RB105 Auditorium on campus. This event, jointly organized with the Alumni Association, aims to spread love and warmth.
Led by Kun-Hu Weng, Chairman of the 8th session of the EDBA/EMBA Alumni Association, the planning committee collaborates with the Taiwan Tech Alumni Association to organize the "Taiwan Tech Warmth, Infinite Love" charity concert. The event will feature performances by five groups: the Little Cola Drama Group, one-legged dancer Mu-Qing Lin, the Believing in Classics band led by visually impaired singer Lin Xin-Hong, the Choir, and singer Fang Ji-Wei. This platform is designed to support performers in need or those providing high-quality performances.
The Little KeLeGuo Theater Group is the first theater group composed of teenagers with cerebral palsy, and their theatrical influence is commendable, impacting both physical and psychological aspects. Besides the original members with cerebral palsy, the group also includes children with Down syndrome, autism, and other conditions.
Mu-Qing Lin, a one-legged dancer, had her left leg amputated due to osteosarcoma at the age of 16, becoming the first Taiwan Cancer Foundation Cancer Warrior. Through her determination, she became a professional dancer, touring hospitals, prisons, and schools nationwide, and received widespread acclaim.
Visually impaired singer Xin-Hong Lin suffers from Retinitis Pigmentosa and gradually lost his vision while growing up. In 2015, he formed the "Believing in Classics" band with several visually impaired musicians, serving as the lead vocalist and band leader. Not only does he sing, but he also engages in dancing and participates in visually impaired marathons, winning a gold medal in the Visually Impaired Athletics Championships.
The Choir consists of seven different choral groups: Taipei Male Choir, Taipei Youth Choir, Taipei Children Choir, Taipei Elegant Song Choir, Taipei Male Singers, Taipei Arts Female Choir, Shanghai Rainbow Chamber Singers. The "Taipei Male Choir”, formed in 1998 by alumni of Taipei Municipal Chenggong High School, will perform at this event.
Singer Fang Ji-Wei (Amber Fang) is a well-known pop singer in Taiwan, often called the "Eternal Military Love". In recent years, she has frequently volunteered and engaged in charitable activities. Having five meaningfully unique performance groups at the "Taiwan Tech Warmth, Infinite Love" charity concert is a rare opportunity.
The surplus from the concert will be donated to nine units: Taiwan Tech College of Management's Scholarship for Financially Challenged Students, Little Cola Drama Group, a one-legged dancer Lin Mu-Qing, the Believing in Classics band led by visually impaired singer Lin Xin-Hong, the Menno Social Welfare Foundation, Hualien Dawn Care Home, Taitung Children's Book House, Pearl Home Women's Center, and the Wenshan Special Education Workshop.
At a time when the pandemic is subsiding and a reorganization is urgently needed, Taiwan Tech alumni extend a caring hand as the year draws to a close, uniting the love of Taiwan Tech to make love infinite, warming the hearts of everyone around!
