Donation: Giving to NTUST

Any donations made to NTUST and its affiliated units, including regular small donations, normal donations, foundation of lectures and scholarships, equipment purchases, construction of the buildings, and other tangible properties, should follow the regulations below:

  1. Donor who makes either cash or gift-in-kind donation less than the value of NT$50,000 will receive a letter of appreciation from the school President in recognition of their generous support. If the donation exceeds the value of NT$50,000, or if the donor makes a monthly cash donation of NT$1,000 continually for five years, he will receive a letter of appreciation from the school President and the NTUST souvenir.
  2. Donor who makes either cash or gift-in-kind donation greater than or equal to the value of NT$500,000 will receive a letter of appreciation from the school President as well as a commemorative plate in recognition of their generous support. Besides, he is free to choose and name a tree in NTUST campus in memory of his contribution.
  3. Donor who makes either cash or gift-in-kind donation greater than or equal to the value of NT$1,000,000 will be able to not only receive all of the treatments mentioned above in recognition of his generous support, but to have his name inscribed on the monument of the newly built buildings. In addition, he would be given to the following special treatments for five years:

. Be eligible to visit NTUST library and borrow the library materials.

. Free parking in NTUST.

. Free use of NTUST sports facilities.

  1. Donor who makes either cash or gift-in-kind donation greater than or equal to the value of NT$5,000,000 will be given to all of the special treatments mentioned in the third regulation for life.
  2.  One of the specific facilities, including laboratories within the new construction and room or spaces within the other buildings, can be named recognition of the donor who makes either cash or gift-in-kind donation greater than or equal to the value of NT$10,000,000.
  3. Donor who makes cash donation that covers half of the charge a specific construction, or is greater than or equal to NT$50,000,000 could name the building. Any special situation would be decided by the administrative meetings.
  4. 7. Anyone who donate greater than or equal to NT$10,000,000, after his acceptance, will have his contribution, photo, as well as other related information displayed in NTUST archives. His recognition will be recorded and long preserved in the school history.

The “Distinguished Alumnus” medal will awarded to NTUST alumni whose donation have accumulated to more than NT$10,000,000 and “Honored Alumnus” medal will be awarded to NTUST alumni whose donation have reached to more than NT$50,000,000.Any donation having met the requirement set by Ministry of Education will be awarded by the ministry.
